Oscilloscopes. WiLANTA is ideal for characterizing overall PHY
layer performance of WLAN transmitters. WiLANTA is used for
advanced measurement and analysis of overall PHY layer
performance of WLAN Transmitters for 802.11 'a', 'b' and 'g'.
Traditional WLAN chipset design involved three chips (PHY, MAC
& RF) which have now been reduced to two with the integration
of the Base band processor (PHY) and Media Access Controller
(MAC) into a single chip. This high level of integration and
functionality gives rise to serious testing challenges. WLAN
test methods and architectures must provide real-world signal
environments, flexible tests be able to deliver high
bandwidth, accuracy, and speed.
