Quebec City, Quebec - EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. announced
today the launch of the NQMSpacket Network Quality Monitoring System,
aimed at assuring the user experience in packet-based IP networks
delivering triple-play services. This new product offering consists of
the high-performance RTU-300 IP Services Test Probe and powerful
NQMSpacket probe management software for local and central office

In response to
increasing consumer demand for high-quality IP services, EXFO has
developed a complete solution that will enable network service
providers (NSPs) to deploy triple-play services faster, easily
integrate them into their current operations and offer maintenance
tools to preserve the highest quality of service. The NQMSpacket IP
Services monitoring platform leverages EXFO's expertise in IP test and
measurement as well as broad technology base to deliver a solution
focused on reducing time-to-revenue and mean-time-to-repair. As a
result, a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained while
customer churn is reduced to a minimum.
The NQMSpacket management system is a highly configurable, yet
intuitive, probe management software that provides the user with a
centralized, real-time view of network-wide IPTV and Ethernet services
including alarms and configurations as well as powerful trending tools
for detailed troubleshooting. The management software works in concert
with the RTU-300 hardware probe that delivers numerous real-time
metrics for IPTV and Ethernet services including media delivery index
(MDI), TR 101 290, jitter, bandwidth utilization and other IP metrics.
Management features include configurable alarm thresholds, remote
software upgrades and detailed report generation.
