Redwood Shores, CA -- Oracle today announced that ON Telecoms,
a new communications service provider in Greece, has implemented
Oracle(R)
Communications Billing and Revenue Management to expedite its entry

With Oracle, ON Telecoms achieved its goal to be the first company in
the Athens area to take advantage of market deregulation and build a
triple-play business to challenge the incumbent. The provider offers
voice,
high-speed Internet access and IPTV to residential and business
customers.
ON Telecoms selected Oracle for its out-of-box functionality that
supported
rapid time to market and swift return on investment, as well as the
company's proven track record for fast-track implementations in the
triple-play arena. The Oracle implementation took less than seven
weeks and
after testing the solution, ON Telecoms launched the service in just
six
months.
During the implementation, Oracle provided knowledge transfer and
application training that empowered ON Telecoms to take control of its
billing application and manage it without unnecessary oversight. This
gave
the provider critical flexibility and ensured a predictable total cost
of
ownership.
"We knew Oracle understood the fluid nature of triple-play business
models and therefore our need for a flexible, productized solution
that
would help us deliver quality service to attract customers from the
incumbent provider," said Ruggero Gramatica, Chief Executive Officer,
ON
Telecoms. "We also share a common mindset with Oracle that the best
way to
build next-generation services is to give providers greater control
and
empower them to create, deliver and bill for innovative services."
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management, implemented on
Oracle infrastructure software including Oracle Database and Oracle
Application Server, supports billing services for all ON Telecoms
residential and business customers who purchase services through
various
bundles and subscription rates. The application delivers a real-time,
single view of the customer including service plan, history and
billing
information. This view enables ON Telecoms to deliver personalized
service
and offer flexible billing options, leading to increased customer
satisfaction. In addition, the application's revenue management tools
allow
ON Telecoms to analyze data to maximize revenue and reduce leakage.
"We are pleased to help ON Telecoms complete its aggressive
implementation and successfully enter the Athens communications market
with
the ability to meet customer demands and thrive in a competitive
environment," said Bhaskar Gorti, Senior Vice President and General
Manager, Oracle Communications.
ON Telecoms S.A. has a Nationwide General Telecommunications License
and has now completed the initial phase of a fully owned metropolitan
fiber
network in Attica by delivering a new generation of telecommunications
services. The company is fully owned by ON Network Holdings NV
registered
in the Netherlands. ON Network Holdings Shareholders include the
company's
top management and ARGO Capital Partners Fund LTD as financial
sponsor. ON
Telecoms management team combines knowledge, experience and vision, a
combination which enables its success. For more information, please
