February 28, 2007

New VoIP access options in Asia and Europe deliver greater efficiencies to enterprises.

Customers worldwide experience improved reliability and higher quality.

Florham Park, NJ -- Building upon its successful 2006 growth in collaboration services, Global Crossing, a leading global provider of telecommunications solutions, today announced expanded local access in Europe and Asia to support the rising demand for Global Crossing Ready-Access(R) audio collaboration services. "We're increasing our conferencing network scale, reach and service availability to support the growing global requirements of our enterprise customers," said Anthony Christie, Global Crossing's chief marketing officer. "Our continued expansion of collaboration services into additional markets worldwide builds on the momentum of our collaboration growth in 2006 and ensures Global Crossing remains a leader in the collaboration industry."

Global Crossing now provides local access to its Ready-Access service in 31 cities throughout Europe over its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network. In 2006, Global Crossing leveraged its expanded European VoIP network to offer local services for the first time to Austria, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

Global Crossing is also offering access via its VoIP network in Asia, providing collaboration services to customers in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand. The VoIP network represents a more cost-effective way to connect to Ready-Access, and it delivers a higher quality of service for a better overall customer experience. Development currently is under way to deliver additional access alternatives in Europe and Asia in 2007.

In addition to expanding collaboration services into new global markets, Global Crossing also expanded its conferencing capacity to support approximately 15 percent more conferencing minutes each month in 2006 compared to 2005. The company recently introduced Ready-Access VoIP, the combination of Ready-Access audio conferencing service with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, to support the company's converged IP and collaboration services growth initiative. Ready-Access VoIP offers users an efficient and convenient way to combine the value and ease of an on-demand audio conferencing service with the cost savings of VoIP. In 2006, Global Crossing's worldwide collaboration traffic increased by more than 35 percent compared with 2005. According to TeleSpan, the authoritative source for teleconferencing news and analysis, Global Crossing's growth is approximately three times the current estimated market growth rate for the industry.

Global Crossing offers enterprises a full suite of converged IP collaboration services for virtually any meeting need. Audio conferencing services include Ready-Access, Global "800" Service, VoIP Ready-Access, Event Call, Event Express Call and Automated Event Call. Customers around the world are able to connect to Global Crossing's audio collaboration platform using a mix of toll-free and local access methods. Web conferencing services include Ready-Access Web Meeting, eMeeting and Live Meeting. Videoconferencing services include iVideoconferencing, IP Video, Ready-Access Video, and Video Endpoint Management Service supporting both ISDN and IP-based end points.
