Interoperable Access Solution for Service Providers From the POP to the Customer Premise
COMPTEL Plus Spring 2007

Las Vegas, NV -- NexTone®, a leader in intelligent and scalable session management solutions for VoIP and IMS network interconnects, today announced that products from Quintum Technologies, an INC. 500 company, have achieved NexTone Compatible™ certification. The Quintum® Tenor® line of VoIP switches and gateways are now certified NetworkReady™ with NexTone's Multiprotocol Session Exchange (MSX).

NetworkReady certification indicates that the Quintum products receiving the certification have successfully completed rigorous testing designed to confirm interoperability with the specified versions of the products that make up NexTone's IntelliConnect™ System. By interoperating with the NexTone MSX, Quintum is now able to provide customer premise solutions to global service providers that interface with different equipment in a service provider’s point of presence (POP), or IP network hub. The NetworkReady certification allows Quintum to offer a complete and certified-interoperable access solution from the POP to the customer premise.

Additionally, the NexTone and Quintum products working together can bring high-quality, cost-effective business SIP Trunking solutions to service provider customers, giving service providers the capability to extend their VoIP communications services to an even wider range of markets and different customer environments, including large enterprises and SMBs. The SIP Trunking solution is also designed to enable service providers to converge voice and data onto one IP connection to reduce costs and improve the quality of VoIP calls to help maintain customer loyalty.
